Bioinformatics Programmer

Develop robust and reproducible machine learning and deep learning tools, to discover target genes associated with human disease.

Position Responsibilities: Develop robust and reproducible machine learning and deep learning tools, to discover target genes associated with human disease. Leverage bioinformatic tools to build and streamline workflows for pre-processing multi-omics data. Design and develop an enterprise grade AI platform integrating disease agnostic machine learning, deep learning and causal inference models. Perform pattern recognition on genomic and medical image data for identifying benign and malignant tissue samples which can be used for precision medicine. Work collaboratively with bioinformaticians and computational statisticians to understand the underlying biology and deliver cutting-edge novel algorithms.

Position Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Systems or a related field PLUS one (1) year of post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or in a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: Python; R; Docker; Cloud Computing (AWS) with GPUs; Data Architecture; Data Modeling and Statistical Analysis; Machine Learning approaches such as Supervised, Semi-supervised and Unsupervised learning; Machine Learning/Deep Learning algorithms like Lasso, Ridge, Random Forest, SVM, and Bayesian Networks; Fluency in ML libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, Edward, Sklearn, Caret; using SQL in writing complex, multi-stage transformations, user-defined functions, stored procedures, and tuning query performance.
