Clinical Genomics Scientist

Job summary:


WuXiNextCODE’s Clinical Genetics group is seeking highly motivated individuals to perform clinical sequencing data analysis. Title, detailed job descriptions, and compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, knowledge and experience.


Specific responsibilities include:


  • Analyzing and interpreting genetic testing results generated from clinical diagnostic sequencing
  • Working in conjunction with directors and other clinical genomic scientists to solve clinical cases by assisting in variant classification and clinical interpretation according to ACMG and internal guidelines
  • Daily communications with Chinese clients and teams
  • Learning to use and becoming familiar with in-house software tools
  • Maintaining internal variant database
  • Assisting in the preparation of educational and marketing materials
  • Additional tasks as required 




  • MS or PhD graduate in human genetics, molecular genetics or related field
  • At least one year direct working experience with variant curation and clinical interpretation in a clinical diagnostic laboratory; NGS sequencing-related experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with online resources, databases and tools commonly used in variant annotation
  • Ability to stay current with new findings and discoveries in medical genetics
  • Excellent communication skills; must be able to read, write and speak Chinese fluently
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to interdisciplinary teams
  • Attention to detail and ability to learn new techniques
  • Strong preference will be given to applicants with prior clinical experience in clinical exome testing
