Contracts Manager

The Contract Manager will have frequent interactions with internal stakeholders across multiple functional groups.

WuXi NextCODE is seeking a Contract Manager to provide a range of key support to the organization as it continues its growth trajectory. As a critical contributor to WXNC‘s legal function, the Contract Manager will have frequent interactions with internal stakeholders across multiple functional groups such as Sales, Operations, Finance, Technical and Commercial operations, as well as across geographies. They may at times also interact with customers and partners.

Key Accountabilities:

  • The negotiation, drafting and management of agreements necessary for the day-to-day operations of a data and insights company. These agreements include Master Service Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Scopes of Work, and Partnership Agreements.
  • Providing training on contract matters and other legal issues that affect internal clients
  • Assisting and developing templates for use by internal clients and legal team
  • Delivering advice on how to manage legal risk and reporting the risks to the key management teams
  • Anticipating problems and initiating actions to ensure contractual issues are addressed efficiently


  • Degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Must be licensed or registered to practice law in Massachusetts
  • The ideal Contract Manager candidate will have 4+ years of experience representing life sciences companies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal interaction skills
  • In-depth computer proficiency skills in MS Office suite
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and drive projects cross-functionally across departments
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities, and the ability to quickly adjust to shifting priorities and demanding deadlines when necessary;
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
