Commercial Contracts Manager

The CCM will review, negotiate and manage all commercial contracts for our service & product offerings worldwide (excluding China).

WXNC is seeking a Contracts Manager with 4+ years of experience in commercial contract management. This role will be responsible for the review, negotiation and management of all commercial contracts for WXNC’s service and product offerings world-wide (excluding China). This individual will work closely with other business development, project management and finance staff, attorneys and senior management within WXNC to facilitate timely review, negotiation and execution of a high volume of commercial contracts with international clients. This individual will also represent the company in contract discussions with the business and legal representatives of the company’s customers and partners.

Key Accountibilities

  • Review, negotiate and execute a variety of commercial agreements including confidential disclosure agreements, laboratory services agreements, software licenses, IT services and technology collaboration contracts.
  • Ensure commercial contracts are executed consistently and in compliance with regulations, company policies, guidance documents, and SOPs.
  • Maintain and update the status of agreements in a tracking system and regularly communicate such status to key stakeholders.
  • Archive WXNC commercial contracts and manage contract databases.
  • Represent the company with customers and partners in a professional manner.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of contract templates and contract policies and procedures.
  • Provide formal and informal training and guidance to the company’s commercial staff on contract negotiation and review procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in contract review and management in a sales operations, procurement, contracts or in-house legal role, preferably in life science or software industry.
  • Understanding of contract process and common business practices, either in the life science services industry or the software industry.
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English, especially English legal writing; excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to perform at high level in a high-volume, fast-paced, high performing and dynamic corporate environment.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and comply with deadlines; excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Ability to quickly understand objectives, learn new information, identify issues and conduct risk/benefit analysis; strong analytical skills.
  • Mature and professional personality with clear business acumen.
  • Must have a strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to interact confidently and appropriately with senior management, business development, sales operations colleagues and with customer’s business and legal representatives.
  • Strong professional integrity and a keen sense of ownership over one’s work.
  • High level of enthusiasm, sense of urgency and capacity to overcome obstacles; strong self-motivation and willingness to learn.

Education

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, legal studies or related discipline.
