The Commercial Operations Intern will gain a broad exposure to commercial operations and contribute to daily team activities. Some key projects will include performing market research and analysis, creating and maintaining client contact spreadsheets, and assisting in the lead generation process. The internship is designed to be both educational and practical. The intern will also gain a better understanding of business operations in a fast-paced, dynamic organization while developing new skills and experiences that can be applied at the beginning of their professional career.

Essential Functions

• Gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments.
• Provide support to commercial operations teams, including business development and marketing.
• Perform market research and analysis.
• Assist in lead generation process from prospect identification to conversion to qualified opportunity.
• Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets and other database reports on client and investor contacts.

Required Education and Experience

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Additional Requirements

1. Must be a Massachusetts resident (able to provide proof of residency) OR attend/have attended a college or university located in Massachusetts (able to provide enrollment verification); and
2. Must meet one of the following:

• 2-year/Community College/Certificate students must be enrolled in an Associate’s Degree or Certificate program or completed one within the past year. Continuing Education students are also eligible.
• 4-year college or university students must have or will complete(d) at least their freshman year the semester before the internship, or have graduated within the past year.
• Graduate students must be enrolled in a Master’s Degree program or received their Master’s Degree within the past year. Ph.D. and M.D. candidates are not eligible.

• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills; professional demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills; ability to complete projects and field ad-hoc requests timely.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time internship to take place during this spring 2019. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
