Director – Product Marketing

Responsible for defining integrated product marketing campaigns and content for cohort, sequencing and advanced analytics (AI) product lines

Reporting to Head of Commercial Strategy & Partnerships, this individual is responsible for defining integrated product marketing campaigns and content for cohort, sequencing and advanced analytics (AI) product lines.  Accountable for both on-line and off-line channels and setting and achieving metrics that drive both loyalty (retention) and growth in a global, fast-paced environment. Partnering with functional and channel leaders and their respective teams (e.g., Product Management, Commercial, Digital Marketing, Scientific Leadership, etc.), this individual ensures appropriate positioning and messaging across several communication vehicles targeted to key personas and segments that resonate at various stages of the customer buying journey. Success will be measured by execution against goals for marketing campaigns including customer engagement, leads, and acceleration through the buying cycle.


  • Creates a unified, annual marketing communications plan for the product portfolio (inclusive of cohort, sequencing and advanced analytics (AI) categories), in collaboration with functional, regional and channel partners to fuel growth and loyalty
  • Develops and maintains strong commercial alignment, supporting and championing Commercial Team success
  • Builds effective and regular communication channels with all relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment, collaboration and execution are seamless
  • Effectively utilizes digital multi-modal channels for education and engagement of customers
  • Defines marketing campaigns and nurturing programs with quantifiable objectives to measure results. Makes data-driven decisions and uses metrics and KPIs to continually improve outcomes and results.
  • Responsible for the creation of content strategy and development of content for deployment
  • Communicates with senior leadership and stakeholders within the company to ensure integrated marketing communication campaigns and plans align with business goals
  • Keeps the pulse on industry, competitive, and marketing trends and/or best practices
  • Champions the company’s brand in all aspects of work by effective utilization of brand guidelines
  • Identifies areas of improvement and leads development of countermeasures and sustainable solutions as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience OR Master’s/Doctoral degree with 5+ years of experience
  • 3+ years experience working in a scientific industry (genomics, pharma, biotech, life sciences or other relevant scientific industry)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge in the areas of NGS Sequencing, Cohort, Analytics and AI services
  • Demonstrated success of personally building integrated product marketing campaigns with measurable results in a B2B environment
  • Effective knowledge of earned, paid, owned channels (online/offline)
  • Ability to act and influence with confidence, using expertise and experience to earn the respect of and work effectively with senior scientists and technologists, including being regarded as a qualified thought leader in the development of content, including for scientific publications, third-party webinars, news coverage, and invited talks
  • High energy, self-starter that operates with a strong sense of service and urgency
  • Able to perform exceptionally well in a fast-paced, metrics driven environment
  • Strong communication skills to effectively articulate plans to clients, agency partners, colleagues, and leaders
  • Able to effectively influence and lead cross-functional team initiatives as well as participate as a valuable contributing team member depending on the organizational need

  • Experience in related service-oriented field (e.g., marketing, marketing communications, market development)
  • Experience working in or with complex matrixed organization
  • Experience in conducting or analyzing primary or secondary research to obtain customer insights
  • Up-to-date with latest trends and best practices in integrated marketing communications and measurement
  • Experience working in a global environment with global teams
  • Strong tested network of third-party marcom strategy, creative and execution providers
