Brings two decades of proven sales, marketing and team management expertise at Becton Dickinson, Pfizer and Sanofi to oversee the growth of WuXi NextCODE’s China business and operations

WuXi NextCODE, the emerging global standard platform for genomic data, today announced the appointment of Louis Yuan as senior vice president and China General Manager. In this position he will lead the growth of all the company’s China businesses, sales and other operations based out of its Shanghai site.

Louis Yuan joins WuXi NextCODE with a stellar record of commercial success, scaling and managing sales teams of more than 300 and achieving multiple triple-digit revenue ramps in his businesses. For the past six years he has served as senior business unit director for Becton Dickinson’s pharmaceutical systems franchise across Greater China. Prior to that he was senior director of sales within Pfizer’s vaccine business in China, where he launched blockbuster Prevenar. From 1998 to 2006 he served in a range of marketing and sales positions within Sanofi Pasteur. Mr Yuan began his life sciences career as research assistant of the Beijing AIDS Clinical Research Center at Ditan Hospital and received his master’s degree in medicine from the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine and Qingdao University.
