Powerful statistical tools in combination with advanced sequencing technology recently delivered a promising new drug target in a study with Yale University.
A study published in Nature describes a new role for fibroblast growth factor (FGF). The work was carried out by WuXi NextCODE scientists, including members of our artificial intelligence (AI) team, and collaborators at Yale University. It involved mice whose FGF receptor genes were turned off. The researchers uncovered some metabolic processes involving FGF that were “a complete surprise,’ as one scientist said.
